I went and ordered a set of 275/60/20 General Arctics for winter on the stock wheels, and bought a nice set of 18s for Summer. I know the wider tires arent as good as narrow for winter, but there are way more choices in a 275 and also want them filling the wheel well.
BTW, 17" is the smallest...
Hub on the Bradleys is 110... which is causing some 'issues' finding the proper hub centric rings, as the ones I have found so far all have a little 'lip' that protrudes on the wheel. I have had a few people say that the wheels are high enough quality that they can be used as lug centric, but I...
Have you looked at some of the Japanese brands? Volk, Rays, Work etc?
As the new 4Runners and Tacomas gain popularity, there will be more wheel options that fit properly.
Looks like the 275/70/18 SL Nitto Terra Grappler G3 are available now, as another member posted installed pictures. I think they will be a great option!
Nitto Terra Grappler G3
F5s have rounded edges ala Bradley V, Gen 5s have squared edges like the Bradley Forged Takumi.
Takumi below, my Bradley Vs a few posts up.
SCS wheels at the bottom.
Curious as to where people are finding hubcentric rings.. recently bought a set from Amazon (110-95.1) and they came with a lip that stuck out of the wheel, so it wouldnt sit flush. This size is fairly uncommon, so trying to find other sources.
I recently had the Westcott level kit installed, and not sure I noticed any difference riding on the stock 20s. If it was stiffer, the difference to me was negligible.
Going to a wider and significantly heavier load and heavier weight tires will always make your vehicle ride worse. The heavier...
My thought... its your wheel and tire choice that is causing your issues. Lower offset wheels would have allowed that tire to fit, and smaller tire would have ridden a lot better. (and not rubbed) I would do both of those before taking out the suspension.
Did you actually get a full 2.5" up...
Search "Cool Box Tray" on here.. there is a member that is printing them. Also, if you know anyone with a printer the file is also posted somewhere on here.
I ordered 275/60/20 General Arctic Grabbers for winter.. should be arriving in a week or two, and installed in maybe 3-4 weeks after. With snow on the ground ~5-6 months of the year, I had to have a dedicated set.
For next spring, I have a set of aftermarket 18s to throw on.
Or you can go for the LC200 rear coils, but they may be a bit stiff. 0.75" lift for the 200 gets you just under 2" for the 250 apparently. (Per Westcott)
For my 4Runner, before the aftermarket ones came available, I found a TRD Start button from a Japanese vehicle that fit. Granted it was quite expensive ($150) but it replaced the entire start button mechanism, not just popping out the cover.
Bradley was actually fast at manufacturing and shipping! Granted I ordered directly from Japan. These are the 18x8.5, et 20 with 14mm lug fitment. Arrived yesterday, but won't mount till Spring. Snow comes in just over a month, so holding off.
So I havent got an answer from Westcott... but the 2.5" front lift they advertise actually got me just over 1.5". By the measurements the shop took, it was ~1.5 and 1.65 up front, and 1" in the rear. This left a slight rake, with the rear fender being 0.5" higher than the front.
