You can also adjust the height that the rear door opens can you not?
WIth my 4Runner, I had to add a makeshift strap to limit how far it opened so the hatch didnt hit my garage door.
From the Westcott video it sounds like the LC200 rear coils fit (He used the OME 722 for 0.75" lift) with older gen Tundra rear shocks.. but fronts required a bunch of custom work to fit.
The Westcott front porch with OME 722 could be a good cheaper fix. (Think that's what's on the Blue one)
Wheel size would be a tough variable in regards to max tire size.. width and offset will play a huge difference. Sounds like Westcott was in the 30et range for max fitment, where stock is 60.
Jeff Westcott (Owner) posted pictures of a LC in his shop on Facebook, said they arent allowed to release info on the LC setups until thursday, some sort of agreement with others involved in the project.
Problem is with those cheap spacer lifts, is they override the suspension geometry on full extension/compression and damage multiple items.
For example:
-Bump stops are no longer effective, so if you hit a huge bump, your shock takes the hit. (Which it's not designed to do)
-At full extension...
Id really like to see what a 0et wheel looks like... I have a set of Enkei RPT1s, 18x9 0et on my 4Runner that I could swap over, but worried they will poke out too much.
I would not put that cheap crap on a $70k+ vehicle.. if you want the cheaper option, at least wait for Wescott to release theirs. At least they test the shock to make sure its not over extended etc. (Still not comparable to actual upgraded suspension)
I beleive all new Tundra/Sequoia/Tacoma/4Runner wheels share the same bolt pattern and reasonable offsets for a LandCruiser. May not be ideal, but would certainly fit.
My understanding is they will ship without small things... but not going to give you a free extra set of wheels. My 4Runner mats and wheel locks came several months later.. but ther other items are pretty key to transport and initial delivery.
If 17s can fit on the GX550, then so should the LC....
Already a few GX's posted with 17" wheels on them. I know some media outlets report 17" brake rotor, but thats wrong. GX550 has 13.9", we arent getting 3" bigger.
I wouldnt include anything from the get go, (unless you negotitate it be throw in or at cost) you can always get better parts deals online for genuine items. PPF is always cheaper going to private shops as well.
A lot depends on how agressive you want the wheels...
Ballpark, pick any 6x139.7 wheel with an offset higher than 20-30. Anything lower will poke out the fenders.
(ie. 0et, which is common in 5th gen 4Runners will stick out a fair bit)
At a 2 or 3" lift you will likely also require upper control arms...hopefully done with a full suspension swap and not simple spacers.
As much as I detest the simple spacers, at least Westcott puts in the work to see what the stock shocks can handle extension and compression wise.
