I don’t think (?) that the Ridge Grapplers are Triple peak snow rated, so depending on where you are in NC, you may want to consider that in your next tire purchase.
Miss Daisy has 1195 miles on her odometer, and is patiently waiting for me. I will change the oil as soon as I get back to NC, where she is parked, while I complete my move from FL.
The first thing I did to Miss Daisy after purchasing her, was have the interior of every glass surface tinted with Expel ‘ceramic’ window tint (various shades, as needed). I wonder how the sticky stuff will do, stuck to the inside window film.. 🤔 I guess I need to contact Garmin customer...
Others have reported the burning smell, which some attributed to a left over petroleum based chemical.. I smelled it to, before it went away for good. But YRMV.
You may want to keep those headlights, as you cannot replace the bulbs and either the Land Cruiser headlights, or the First Edition and 1958 headlights. You have to replace the entire structure.
Not sure where to bring this up… BUT…. With all these 17” wheels going on the LC’s, with such ‘tight fits’ between the calipers and the 17” wheels, can the brakes properly cool when used for heavy braking?
Dangit.. I had hoped that the Tacoma tranny issues would not cross over into our territory. Looks like I’ll have to get another set of worry beads to clutch while this issue unfolds before our eyes.
😤😡🤬
As I stated elsewhere in this forum, my 2006 Avalanche was getting 21.5 MPG on the interstates, right up until ethanol was added to the fuel in 2008. The first tank of E10 fuel immediately delivered 19 mpg, and never got any better.. .ever..
