Well dangit, since flooded lead/acid batteries take a different charge profile than an AGM, I guess I won’t be replacing the stock battery with an AGM.

Do we know what type of battery the 12 volt battery is? Flooded Lead acid, AGM, Gel, lithium?….

I hate it when that happens. The Fumoto F133N valve makes it really easy. There is a vendor on Bezoar’s site that even sells it with a little clear hose to make sure you don’t miss. The F133N replaces the F103, and is much faster to drain the oil than the F103 valve...

Yea.. I know that. I have been using Blackstone for over 8 years, and paying for TBN analysis… Avalanche, Subaru 3.6R, BMW R1200GS Adventure, Gravely ZTR, SO’s Nissan pathfinder, X SO’s Chevy diesel truck, another R1200GS Adventure,… The point was, that TBN is not as useful in gasoline...

A month ago, I was driving in the mountains of NC. There was a torrential down pour, such that I had to pull off of the road, into a small rest area. Turns out that I wasn’t the only person that did. After doing so, I could hear running water in the drivers side B pillar, right about ear level...

I think I heard that TBN was only needed, useful for Diesel engines? Might have been a YouTube video from The Motor Oil Geek, but I don’t recall.
