Is anyone heading up to the Mountain West Overland Expo in Colorado this weekend? Lexus will have the new GX550 there on display, but I have yet to find out if Toyota is bringing the new Land Cruiser.
In this video, Automotive expert David Chao dives deep into the 20 distinct differences between the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser and the 2024 Lexus GX. Although both SUVs are grounded on the TNGA-F platform and have several shared components, there are significant variances between them. For those...
Welcome to the forum @Anarchy - I'm going back and forth between those two vehicles as well. I'm leaning more towards the Land Cruiser due to the fuel mileage but love the looks of the GX550.
Welcome to the forum! I have yet to dip my toes in the EV market. The Hummer EV and Rivian R1S are the only two EVs that I would be interested in, but not with the current price tags and certainly not as my only vehicle.
Welcome to the forum! I would think the new Land Cruiser will still make for a great daily driver, considering the size and especially the fuel mileage out of the hybrid engine.
Toyota has recently lodged a trademark request for the 'Land Hopper' name in Japan. While its exact use remains a mystery, insights from the 2024 Land Cruiser unveiling might provide some hints. Is it earmarked for a two-door SUV or perhaps an electric bike or motorcycle shown above...

Interesting, it's not showing for me anymore either. Maybe there was some oversight or mix-up between the web team and the engineers. 27mpg still sounds a little high, but fingers crossed!
You've arrived just in time, the party is only beginning! π» I can't wait for some actual hands-on reviews and trail ride videos that put the new LC to the test.
Welcome @Pappylaz π» My brother was real big into the FJ Cruiser community. He hosted several FJ events in Southern New Mexico called "The Thrill on the Hill".
That's a cool video. So far from what I've seen, the Land Cruiser seems poised to be an exceptional "Adventure SUV". It boasts a solid combination of power, fuel efficiency, and off-road prowess.
According to a recent Automotive News article, Toyota is exploring the possibility of introducing PHEV, fuel-cell, or a fully electric version for their legendary SUV. Keita Moritsu, the SUV's chief engineer, mentioned that while integrating these alternative drive systems into the TNGA-F...
