You'll have to find a LC (whatever the trim level) sitting on the lot at the dealer. They won't negotiate below MSRP if you're trying to reserve an allocated/in transit LC, at least for 2024 (maybe next year).
But say come September, you find a FE sitting on a dealer lot, you can probably...
Might be about the stop-sale that's happening with the air bag issue on the Grand Highlander and Lexus TX.
Before ya'll start trashing Toyota, Tesla also did a stop-sale of all Cybertrucks last week due to manufacturing issues as well. Seems 2024 is the year of quality issues lol.
No change on my status from both the dealer and Toyota app sadly. Has not moved to processing, last progress was arriving at port on May 20th. Currently sitting on the 56 day hold. Doesn't look like we'll be seeing mid-tier trims till July now
Lucky dog. Well if it's not the license plate, I would check everything around the rear hatch. The panel around the battery compartment may not be properly clicked in. Open those side panels on the left where your jack and battery are, check those are tight and nothing is loose inside. And check...
Are you sure it just isn't a license plate that wasn't properly screwed in on the outside? That's happened to me before after buying a new car and I have to either buy new screws or tighten the current ones.
Also what LC do you have, FE or 1958? Cause one has a manual hatch, other is automatic.
I was shocked the the base model felt like a genuine upgrade from my 4Runner, it's a Venture trim (aka TRD Off-Road Premium equivalent) and the 1958 has some nice features/upgrades. Only downside is that plastic door panel trim w/ cushioning for elbows on those longer trips.
I feel like the softex seats (or even leather) would be easier to clean up then spills on the fabric, I could be wrong. You should test it with some water and see if it bubbles onto the seat or soaks into it?
I made an Ikea run with my 4Runner and had to stick these wood beams out the back, 2 hour drive on the highway to home. Don't think I could get away with the LC doing what I did with the 4runner. But yes, around town, you could leave the back open, I just wouldn't go over 35-40 mph.
Now the real question is will the new builds that have the drain fix arrive before the QC Hold vehicles even make it to the dealers :ROFLMAO:
In all seriousness, thank you for sharing, I wonder if QC Holds will be lifted in batches, all at once, or one LC at a time. I've got my eye not only...
I posted this on a LC Facebook group, but wanted to share it here with you guys:
Pros
+The hybrid system is quick, and nothing like the 4Runner, completely different acceleration, breaking, and feel, I loved it. SO MUCH TORQUE!
+Steering: also completely different from the 4Runner, night and...
Just wanted to share that someone with a LC w/ Premium Package took delivery in Idaho this weekend. Maybe a sign that some will get released from the QC Hold soon?
Owner said in the comments on Facebook that it was on hold for 1 week then got released and showed up at the dealer!
My 5th gen 4Runner hasn’t seen a garage in 4 years, the paint looks just as good as the day I bought it… I don’t think you have anything to worry about.
Not my photos (from a Facebook User), but this was at the West Distributor Center in Portland, Oregon. They just sittin, boy would I like to go shopping here... :ROFLMAO:
Salesman just sent me a screenshot, no change, still under the 30 day QC Hold, no estimated delivery date. Mine is currently sitting at the Newark port. Looking more like mid-June when this will get resolved 🙁
I thought it was pretty wild the FE he bought was initially used as demo car then traded/bought by another dealer, very strange. He said he was ok with it having 500 miles on the odm, but man for 77k, I want that be no more than 25 miles max.
Wanted to follow up here. Secured my loan of 55k at 5.24% for 72 months. I have the check in hand ready to pickup my LC. I went through a local credit union to Virginia, they beat out everyone, I shopped around, Toyota was doing 9.71% (what a joke), Bank of America 7.99%, PenFed 7%, and another...
Personally, I only think #4 applies. There's a reason 4Runners sell so good (5 seaters). Hybrids are the best selling vehicle in the US and will continue to be (especially if gas prices creep back up). And some people (myself included) don't want the Lexus nameplate, it comes with a certain...
JBL Audio, Moonroof, Digital Mirror, Wireless charger, Memory Seats, HUD, and Traffic Jam are all essentials in my book. These are well worth the extra price for a truck that I want to not feel outdated in 5-10 years... I don't wanna be tempted to spend another 60-70 grand for features I...
Little bit different of a "build" haha. Currently a WIP made 100% out of LEGO bricks. About 30 hours of designing so far, coming along well. The interior is next!
Fun fact, I used the LEGO Land Rover Defender set as the base frame for this build.
