I wouldn't touch this one with a 10 foot pole, port and dealer adulterated too much, some of the modifications are not just cosmetic, they tapped into wiring (dashcam) and replaced the third brake light with some stupid strobing lights, who knows if they sealed the light housing properly.
The...
yeah, kirkland is known to have markup and BS addons, sadly someone in Seattle metro area gonna pay it to be the first on the block, if you can wait that's great, this one has about $6k worth of markup depending on what the dealer installed
an improved idea, on smartphones there's a view on both Android and iOS that looks like this.
Using my 4Runner as example, an authenticated vehicle should have the ability to remote start (yes, even the base trim Land Cruiser gets remote connect capability for the first year for free)
Just take...
Toyota corporate sadly has no say in distributor/port options, and I think the problem got worse during pandemic shortage, they loaded EVERY vehicle whatever option possible.
Luckily, all those port installed options have to be Toyota sanctioned, so they can't just conjure up BS stuff like...
There is such a huge aftermarket ecosystem for Toyota/Lexus off roaders, I'm sure every established vendor will make one for the new land cruiser when they can get their hands on it for R & D
Looks like Gulf States Toyota is late to the party, or is busy coming up with what kind BS adds they gonna put on the Land Cruiser. So far nothing, only coastal and mountain area got allocations. I'll check with my dealer next week to see if I'm still #1 on the waitlist, put a deposit in August 2023
I think rays must have prepared their wheels for the new Toyota body on frame platform vehicles, they got some high offset wheels for these 6 lug application.
Totally agree with that, even the forged wheels on Morizo and Circuit Edition GR Corolla are still too heavy. I might just go with these at some point with the land cruiser after I figure out the best offset, I want them to be flush with the fender.
I've seen some local marketplace a set of those BBS wheels take-offs popping up every once in a while for $2k. Maybe I'll consider them, but they aren't really light weight despite being forged
take a picture of your phone with Toyota app and the land cruiser added and activated with remote connect and digital key along with your forum page id
only owner is able to show that
Some people can't admit any wrong and not taking it too well when called out.
But there's some degree of truth to the claim. A dealership can request the install or exclusion of port installed options, such as side steps, PPF, phone chargers etc. The port, aka regional distributor can honor the...
In USA they have not, dealer use the term "order" just to avoid having to explain the entire allocation mechanism.
To the end user, the net result is the same, give dealer the money and they get you the car you want.
don't sell them short, even the most ubiquitous shiny 4Runner 17" factory TRD off road wheels can sell for $400 for a set with tires on, they are definitely worth more than $0
What that is saying is that if you accidentally put regular in it for a bit, it might be fine because the engine can sense knocking and adjust timing to compensate.
But if you do it all the time, one of those knocks could be too big for the timing compensation to handle.
I think we should abide...
I bet it's not gonna be a good response. Land Cruiser now joins Supra, GR Corolla, GT 86 as 4 of 30 Toyotas that require premium.
If you look at Lexus line up, there are just 3 of 20 Lexus that can take regular.
Looks like the iForce Max 2.4T on the Land Cruiser should belong in the Lexus camp...
That 2.4T for Tacoma is made in Alabama and for now it's used on Tacoma exclusively.
My speculation is that it's not exactly the same, most likely software tuning, but who knows, Tacoma 2.4T could have some hardware changes to allow for 87 to run safely.
That being said, if the 6th gen 4Runner...
Toyota's own schedule calls for 10k OCI for ideal use and 5k for severe condition, that's nothing new.
40k mile spark plugs interval is new to me.
Lastly, looks like we have serviceable prop shaft, and they want it greased at least every 15k miles or 5k miles if severe used
