My dealer, High River Toyota has 2 1958's in, and not spoken for. One in black, one in Brown Sugar. Both with Falken Wildpeak AT4W's mounted (which make a HUGE difference in person). I have to say that the interior looks much better in person than from seeing it in videos.
Drove the Brown...
I've had 2 vehicles with paddle shifters. Have tried them a few times only to realize they're gimmicks. Had a cool box in wife's '09 Venza. Used it to keep water cold ONCE.
I've been struggling with the trim options. I just really don't want the cooler box, paddle shifters, digital rearview, or the 20's either. I have a non-premium on order and will likely stick with that if it comes in per my request. I figure I can upgrade the stereo and seats after market if...
I will likely be heading to my dealer in the next few days to have a look while waiting for mine to come in. I'll try to remember to look for that - good to know because I'm getting the mid-grade WITHOUT the premium package, so will wanna upgrade the stereo.
My dealer in High River, AB (just outside Calgary) has also received two 1958's that are unspoken for.
My "deposit-paid-9-months-ago" LC grade in Brown Sugar, not yet. π
Here's my facebook exchange with the rep at Toyota City Wetaskiwin, who's trying to get $15k over MSRP on a 1958. (She's now dropped the price 3 grand and removed the dealership name from her post). Don't reward this dealer for their predatory practices. My dealer has already committed to...
For those in Alberta, Canada:
My facebook exchange with Toyota City in Wetaskiwin, whose rep is trying to jack the price $15k over MSRP (now reduced the price since I've called her out - and has deleted the dealership name from the posting).
I've responded to that post enquiring as to what's included. If they are really trying to mark up the $15k that it looks like, we'll have to name them and shame them.
Potato, potahto. Toyota tries to satisfy the requests whenever possible, which is precisely why the dealers here asked their customers what spec and colour they preferred back in December.
Yup, I like the bourbon too. My wife had a Venza with light, ivory coloured leather. Dirt and indigo dye from jeans was ground into the drivers seat to the point it would no longer come clean - and that's with regular maintenance. I don't wanna have to clean my seats every time I go on a...
Probably can get it for half that price if you go 3rd party, but nice to know that option is out there. I've ordered a non-premium LC package, but would prefer real leather, and JBL, so will likely upgrade those after-market.
Personally not a fan of the lighter material. I think that would get to look filthy over time - especially if you actually spend much time off road or in rugged surroundings.
