Am I the only one who keeps popping in here in the hopes of hearing something new, only to be disappointed once again? C'mon Toyota - give us SOMETHING!
Pretty sure all these guys complaining about the loss of the V6 are gonna pretty disappointed with most new vehicles coming down the pike over the next 5 years. Personally, while I've always been a Toyota lover (have owned them for almost 50 years - my first vehicle was the Toyota shortbox 4x4...
It was there, but then disappeared. Guess it's back on now. If it gets anything better than 9.5 (that's worse than 8.7 for you folks south of here ;) ), I'll be happy.
FINALLY!!!
I like it, but at the same time, I can almost visualize my dusty new truck on a little trail, making my way down to a fishing spot on a creek, and the tip of a shrub branch rubbing me a nice pin stripe down the entire length of it. I dunno...am I being a killjoy? 🤣
That's possible, however I did consider that back 5 months ago when I decided to hitch my wagon to the LC. I find it difficult to believe that Toyota would go ahead and launch a flagship product like Land Cruiser with ONLY a hybrid engine option, and not make their hybrid production prioritized...
Agree with all of this. Only caveat I'd say is if you want a better ride, if possible, size accordingly to avoid the 10-ply LT tires as they can be a little less "ride friendly". Probably not an issue if you have no plans to upsize.
I have to say, while I "seem" to be making more headway on my end, the entire process is rather frustrating. It's a painful exercise in patience. Aside from a few Youtube videos here and there that all pretty much say the same thing, we've learned virtually nothing new from official Toyota...
I have them on my Tundra. I'd say they are the best AT's I've had on that truck so far, and I've gone through at least 2 or 3 other brands over the years.
I should clarify: I was searching the private used market. I'd say 70% of what was out there are Limited models. Could be that people who buy the more off-road capable models hang onto them longer since the competition is very limited as well. If you're driving to the mall or soccer...
This is an interesting discussion. I was looking for a used 4Runner a few years ago. I live within 30 minutes of the mountains. Trying to find a non-Limited version of the 4Runner was nearly impossible. It was very clear most people who own them never leave pavement - ever. But they still...
I agree. I like the styling of the GX exterior in every way (prefer the LC interior - a bit more understated). For me though, it's mostly the LC back end that falls short. I like the front, but that rear looks like they started at the front, worked their way back, but ran into a design deadline.
I agree. I'm not an "off-roader" per se, but I spend a ton of time on gravel roads, logging roads and double track trails searching out secluded fly-fishing spots in the mountains and foothills. I'd considered options like Subaru or even the new Mazda CX-50, but getting home is at least as...
