I’d love to add a fold down tailgate. So disappointing that almost no SUVs have these now.

Some kind of hitch mount seems like it could be doable if your handy type. I agree though a clam shell would have been a no brainier on this truck, probably one of my only complaints about the vehicle is the entire hatch (can’t open window from inside? Really??)

🛠️ What Have You Done To Your LC250 Today?

Put in overland vehicle system’s slide-out shelving. I doubt those bungees will keep things in on rough trails, will replace it with bungee netting at some pony.

    Real World mpg

I will add to this trend. Was getting 25ish on mountain highways. Added 10% E premium in Laramie and suddenly 21mpg on much flatter roads

    Car Camping Solution

1st pic during install. You can see the lashing straps in the top corners 2nd pic is the same but I put down the foam from my pelican boxes for a little extra padding under my hips on my HEST mattress 3rd shows under-bed space. You can fit a lot down there, don’t forget under the front seats...

    Car Camping Solution

Goose gear and 1/2” plywood sheet sized for your bedding, then your choice of storage solutions. Or if you don’t want to pay the exorbitant premium for goose while also waiting to pay another arm and leg when they release the second row seat delete: a plywood sheet 1/2” 43”x76” will do you...

    Premium Fuel or not?

Is engine knocking that’s caused by low octane fuel more of a damage over time concern? I had thought a single knock could be severe

    Phone Mount

So I’ve had to e idea of 3D printing a mount base that would slot into the grill in the bottom left of this photo and be held by friction. No adhesive, no drilling, no fuss. Anyone have the means and motivation to try this?

    Car Camping Solution

Alright no one in here seems to give a damn about head space. My solution was to remove and store the second row seats (to be put back in when I some day trade it in), and place a 1/2” plywood sheet with the side towards the front suspended in the air with lashing straps to the handlebars on the...

Presumably they mean 85/87 octane. Not sure I’d risk putting that in my $60k car just to save $100/mo

Picked up my LC yesterday. Michelin LTX trail 265s, a giant Yakima roof box, skid plates. Otherwise stock LC trim. Drove it from Las Vegas -> flagstaff -> Navajo -> Cortez yesterday, then from Cortez to Denver today. Never over 70mph, mostly at speed limit. 90% of the time I let cruise control...

    Open hatch window from inside

I like to car camp and am actually a fan of the flip up window for those rainy days. But like hell am I getting outside to open it in the rain. Can a button be installed inside? On a related note, are there struts that will hold their position rather than always opening fully? Ergo hold the...
