Some kind of hitch mount seems like it could be doable if your handy type. I agree though a clam shell would have been a no brainier on this truck, probably one of my only complaints about the vehicle is the entire hatch (can’t open window from inside? Really??)
Put in overland vehicle system’s slide-out shelving. I doubt those bungees will keep things in on rough trails, will replace it with bungee netting at some pony.
1st pic during install. You can see the lashing straps in the top corners
2nd pic is the same but I put down the foam from my pelican boxes for a little extra padding under my hips on my HEST mattress

Picked up my LC yesterday. Michelin LTX trail 265s, a giant Yakima roof box, skid plates. Otherwise stock LC trim.
Drove it from Las Vegas -> flagstaff -> Navajo -> Cortez yesterday, then from Cortez to Denver today. Never over 70mph, mostly at speed limit. 90% of the time I let cruise control...
I like to car camp and am actually a fan of the flip up window for those rainy days. But like hell am I getting outside to open it in the rain. Can a button be installed inside?
On a related note, are there struts that will hold their position rather than always opening fully? Ergo hold the...
