I saw the Topoak one, as newbie, it does make more sense to go that route (save some cash), especially since I'm putting some better tires on the LC day 1. However, I did find a similar one on Costco's site. Tempted to spend a bit more since Costco has a no questions ask return policy if...
Agreed. I could see either the Trailhunter or TRD Pro being 60k+ which would be right next to a LC Mid-grade trim w/ no premium package. That mud-colored TRD Pro 4runner with markups could easily go for 70K+ since the color is limited run. When 4th gen Tacomas with premium packages currently go...
Took 2 months calling 30 different dealers to find a LC at MSRP, nabbed the allocation with a deposit. Had an agreed upon price sheet signed by the manager (taxes, fees, everything). I believe the dealer told me they'd had gotten the allocation the night before, so it really shows how on top of...
The ending was so great. After that jump, with the radiator leaking, I thought they'd tow it, nope.... drove it another 3 hours in the cold showing the LC is a trooper. I'm sold.
I'm not gonna lie, make sure you're ok with Black. I had a couple dealers with Black & and Meteor Shower available, I wouldn't accept anything but Heritage Blue given the price we're paying.
Not an exact science, but after talking to 30 dealers up the east coast, 15 showed on there site or smartpath a markup (5k-15k over msrp), 14 were hiding it until you called or asked for the pricing sheet, and lastly 1 finally had a few allocations and were only charging MSRP with no waitlist...
I like some angles of the 6th gen 4Runner, not others. Definitely a baby sequoia mixed with the tacoma look.
Happy to say, I think the LC is better in design. I'm keeping my deposit where it is. I'll be interested to see the cargo space of the hybrid 4Runner compared to the LC.
It just occurred to me... what if we're looking at a 2-DOOR 4Runner? Maybe they're bringing the Pre-Runner trim to it as well? The seats in the photo look oddly close to the cargo area?
It would make sense, Bronco has 2/4 door option, and then 4Runner come in at a cheaper starting MSRP?
I put a deposit down with them as well yesterday. 4 hours away but worth it given it closely matched what I wanted (I also didn't want the dum 20 inch wheels haha). I kinda thought they were joking and was waiting for a catch, but the price sheet didn't lie...
European embargo just hit, I'm sure we'll see US reviews no later than the end of next week. Very exciting.
I'm not gonna lie tho, once the reviews hit in the US, dealers are going to be flooded with calls and requests for the LC. I've been trying for the past 3 weeks talking to dozens of...
Probably talked to 10 dealers earlier this week, if they had a LC allocated and were selling at MSRP, it was already spoken for with a deposit. There is about 5-6 dealers within 100-150 miles of me willing to sell a LC FE with 5-10k markups (no thanks). None of them were in the color I was...
Wow, the sold section is interesting! First, 1/10th of FE have been sold (529/5000), I was also surprised that Trail Dust is the least popular color (for this first round), and 2nd least being Heritage Blue. Lot of states missing from these first couple allocations. But at this rate, FE should...
While obviously the Rivian is still 2 years away from first deliveries, I must admit the R2 looks like a 4Runner and R1S had a baby.
Killer features would have too be automatic rear window (like a 4Runner) & the folding flat front seats for camping w/ air mattress. 300+ miles with the mid trim...
I mean yeah, maybe a couple hundred folks have the expendable income to pay markups for the First Edition, but the rest of us (and just those who are smart w/ money) are already having a hard time justifying a 75K truck w/ an 8.6% interest rate...
