The non-premium LC trim audio is actually decently flat as-is. I've been generally pretty pleased with it. The mids have nice punch, the bass response of the front speakers is actually pretty great. The highs are a little muddy and somewhat harsh. All this talk of subwoofers and I'm here...
This has been pretty much universal across deliveries. They come in off the ship with high pressures, and the dealership never adjusts it.
Drop it to 33-35 cold.
Note that you may need to reset your TPMS pressure setting in the driver information display.
The middle display is definitely pretty lacking on options compared to the side displays. I just set all 3 of my screens to show the adaptive cruise info in the middle. Although "Settings" is probably the most useful center display option 🙃
Yes, it's also called a Prado in other parts of the world, so yes it is a "Prado". ¯\(ツ)/¯
Things they could have called the Land Cruiser 250 and I also would not have cared:
1) Prado
2) FJ Cruiser
3) 4Runner
4) 5Runner
5) Sequoia Mini
6) Rav4 Plus
7) Rav5
8) TacoRunner
9) 4Prado
And my...
The MAX gauge will show you when the hybrid is being used.
And if you have the tach on your display, you'll see it go to 0 RPM when you are under full electric.
It definitely looks a lot beefier. It is supposed to be the same size, and I never actually measured, but I agree, they do feel a bit bigger, but that might just an illusion because of their stance.
I think you'll find a a treasure trove of information in this active thread - Tire Upgrade ?
But since you asked so nicely, here's my stock size A/T4W SL on OEM 18" wheels.
I've got almost 500mi of almost entirely short local drives (like 1-5mi drives, 5-15min - e.g. shuttling kids around) and I'm only getting 16-18mpg average.
What i've noticed is that when I do go on a longer drive, the battery will charge up more, and I'll begin to get more hybrid usage and my...
They’ve got a hum over 45mph, nothing obnoxious but it’s there. Louder than stock, quieter than KO2s I had on my old transit van.
The online tire reviewers suggested the AT4W should be quieter than the AT3W, which is already supposedly a relatively quiet tire (I don’t have direct experience...
Sorry, it's 2024, you either get an AI written article that rambles on about nothing or a 10+ minute youtube video where you get to watch a dude ramble on about slightly more than nothing. 🙃
I achieved this without turning off Rear Cross Traffic Alert. Just the parking assist in the DID and the physical button on the left.
If you only do the physical button, the cruiser will still yell at you. If you only do the setting you get auto-braked.
🤦♂️
That would be great news if true, I’m still under 500mi and my electric motor is pretty timid to say the least! And I have a very soft prius-hypermiling foot.
I searched the part numbers on Google and spent 20 minutes adding both skids to a cart and getting estimated shipping on at least 5+ different parts departments websites. I ended up getting the both for $580 total shipped. (Within the US)
Honest question - is a rear ladder actually useful? It just seems like a far worse spot to access the roof compared to the sides.
But I guess it just depends on what you plan to put up there.
Not defending the $70 USB cables, but I will defend the use of USB cables - Charging via USB cable is better for your phone, and far more efficient and faster. Carplay over USB is also more reliable. I still plug in on most drives over 5min. (full disclosure i don't have wireless charging on...
