I find the white line on your MPG gauge to be more useful for observing your efficiency (although nothing to stop you from looking at both!). You'll see how it drops with difference scenarios. Any time spend with it past the 2nd dot (20mpg) is generally good. You'll see how quickly it drops to...
Picked up a license plate frame off etsy. It's alright, not spectacular. The black isn't as dark as the front bumper, and the white stripe is a little bright, but it'll do.
Interesting that they recommend this rotation, seems off balance as two tires will wear faster than the other 3.
I was planning on the rearward cross like this diagram:
This is super handy info, thanks for measuring!
That response aligns with my impressions. I'm actually pretty impressed with the front door speakers, they are punchy and feel pretty tight.
Mids are fair but things get a little muddy as you get to the high-mids. EQ helps a little.
When your...
I was in a similar boat, considering similar tires. I live in the mountain west and I ski 50+ days a year. I went with the SL-load stock sized A/T4Ws but the jury is out until next spring. I don't want to get winter tires for the cruiser (I have a RAV4 that I do switch over to blizzaks for...
While I obviously needed a vehicle with center and rear locking differentials and a sway bar disconnect. I've now been "off-roading" at what is pretty much my personal comfort limit and have not taken it out of 4Hi Eco mode. It's becoming apparent that these features are going to see very...
Curious about this, have there been any tests that show the rubitrek matches or exceeds the winter performance of the Wildpeak? Or is it just an assumption based on presumably softer material with the same siping pattern of the Wildpeak?
The widget always shows the current trip MPG. That’s the one you see in the picture and I don’t think that can be changed.
The setting you are looking at will configure the fuel economy display (i.e. on one of the side displays like where you have your turbo gauge in that image.
You can also...
What an honor! Thanks!
I dedicate this win to the Heritage Blue Crew and look forward to seeing many more Heritage Blue Land Cruisers of the Month in the months to come!
I have the exact opposite feeling  . Bring back habanero orange!
edit: on second thought, i don't want them to bring back habanero orange because i would get insanely jealous and would be filled with regret.
^ This is the answer ^
What's funny is I had wanted to enable this kind of feature, but couldn't figure it out. Then one day i guess i accidentally hit the auto A button, and then it started doing it, and it was actually pretty irritating for normal driving, because i slow down below 7mpg more...
I was hoping for the same thing, but the 12V battery access is pretty easy in the trunk and will probably just end up with a 12V alligator clip pump. I’m in no rush though, so curious to hear about other folks’ experiences.
yes, this issue has been resolved. Please see this thread - I got 76.6 MPG with this weird trick.

Today I drove up and down the local mountain to go for a bike ride up there. It's about 3500ft up over 18mi. 11 MPG up, 60 MPG down.
I was doing the math in my head thinking "wow, that averages out to 35mpg! nice!!". But the math is of course much crueler than that - the average was actually...
I've given up on the 120V inflator idea. I didn't buy anything yet, but I intend to get something like the Viair or morrflate portable small sized units. The battery has pretty easy to access in the back.
I hit the "Update" button on this display when I fuel up. It does reset the "Total Average" though, so if you are trying to keep a running total, don't do this. I enjoy seeing a "Tank Average" (which actually is a setting only on 1958s). Long enough time to smooth out the average, but short...
