I'm not sure if the wiring harness in a non-Premium Package LC grade will have a plug for the power passenger seat. Honestly, I don't think it's worth the juggle/hassle. Leather and Softex are very similar. I know that Softex is arguably more durable but just take care of the leather.
My understanding is that some regions are "forcing" the LC grade with the Premium Package to also get the optional 20" wheels. My dealer was able to trade (before the vehicles arrived at port) and get me an LC grade with Premium Package at 18" wheels. Now I'm just waiting for the vehicle to be...
Same—no movement since arrival in Portland on 4/22. My dealer’s LC First Edition arrived at port on 3/30, processed on 4/30, and was put in a train on 5/1. So, maybe some activity for us on 5/22?
My understanding is certain regions (including the Midwest) pair the 20” wheel option with the Premium Package option on the LC grade. Canada does the same.
I have a Meteor Shower 'Land Cruiser' grade coming (w/ Premium Package & standard 18" wheels...and very few accessories). Vessel arrived 4/22/24 (Portland). Still waiting for port processing ('Processing') to be completed (and no date noted for estimated completion...though the 'Processing' date...
That's a good point. With the front sway bar disconnect (standard on the Land Cruiser grade and First Edition), Toyota certainly had the opportunity to not compromise the front sway bar diameter (run a larger diameter front sway bar). It would be interesting to compare the measurement on an LC...
That means that the fuel tank took 15.3 gallons of fuel when he "filled it up" (with 5 miles of range displaying on the trip computer). The fuel tank on the LC is 17.9 gallons. So, either the distance to empty (DTE) display is VERY conservative or he didn't fully fill the tank with fuel. My...
I know it requires premium and I’m OK with that…even though it doesn’t make sense (and it shouldn’t require premium). My mpg comment was related to highway mpg—and early info seems to point towards real-world mileage being closer to 25 mpg than 20 mpg. This all isn’t a deal killer.
Efficiency is important for many reason...including range. And the vehicle starts at $56K (not $70K). I can afford the fuel but I still like when something is efficient vs. previous the model or the competition. The USA LC doesn't have a very large fuel tank (17.9 gallons). As such, I'm hoping...
Ha! I'm fine with that. You just have to remember all the variables when it comes to posts MPG data. Did the driver properly reset the trip computer? What was the weather (temperature, wind, etc.)? What driving mode was used? What was the terrain and driving style? And as far as calculating...
Good call on the (unattractive) hybrid badge removal. That will be a “day 1” removal for me. I’m fine that the new LC is a hybrid but I don’t need an ugly badge on the back. That’s quite possibly the most American/Toyota USA detail on the new LC. I love how the rest of the new LC is so different...
Let's see what the mpg is in real-world use—after break-in miles (and properly calculated). I highly recommend we all take any and all mpg posts with a grain of salt. It's quite rare for a modern vehicle to not get (roughly) the EPA fuel economy numbers in real-world driving (especially with the...
My (incoming) Land Cruiser grade has the All-Weather Cargo Mat listed as an accessory (PIO—port-installed option) for $130. I'm told my vehicle will come with all-weather floor liners (standard)...1st and 2nd row black rubber floor liners. I have ordered carpet mats from the parts department (as...
I'd like to see the Java interior in person. I'm scared it's a bit too "red brown" vs. true brown. I'm fine with brown but I don't like when brown leather/leatherette is too red/orange brown. My 'Land Cruiser' grade (Meteor Shower) is coming with Black Leather. I told my dealer that I was happy...
I'm sure the 2.8L diesel in the new Land Cruiser will be 100% fine on regular diesel in the UK. I've never run the "premium diesel" in any diesel in the UK...even higher-performance diesel engines.
But it still doesn't explain why the powertrain output (hp and torque) is the same for the Tacoma Hybrid and the Land Cruiser ...but the Land Cruiser "requires" premium but the Tacoma Hybrid does not (it's certified/rated on regular unleaded). There is still something funky about the setup—that...
Having driven tons of miles in diesel Land Cruiser Prado and Hilux models outside of the USA—including the latest version of the 1GD-FTV diesel (what the Land Cruiser 250 Series gets in other markets)—I am totally fine with Toyota USA's choice for the powertrain for the new Land Cruiser 250...
Not true. 4 interior options on the LC grade—Black SofTex, Black Leather, Java SofTex, Java Leather. When you add the Premium Package, you get Leather (Black or Java). The First Edition is Black Leather only.
