    20" Wheel On Prem Package

If you're considering upgrading your tires (for larger, more aggressive tires), I'd highly recommend getting rid of the (optional) 20-inch wheels and getting a set of 18-inch wheels (Toyota or aftermarket). The 18-inch wheel is the better setup for aggressive tires (higher profile tires, etc.)...

How to order the stock 18" wheels?

I've owned and tested many different "studless" winter tires. The X-Ice Snow is far better in the snow vs. the old X-Ice Xi2 and old X-Ice Xi3 (those older variants were already good on ice). And they last much longer (and work much better when worn) vs. the Blizzak variants. A brand-new (read...

    18-inch Steel Wheel Options?

I'm starting to look into winter wheels. I like/prefer steel wheels. My plan is to run the Michelin X-Ice Snow winter tires in size 265/70R-18 (OE tire size). That's a new size for the X-Ice Snow and it's due to land at Michelin tire dealers in early December 2024. My preference is silver...

How to order the stock 18" wheels?

I have confirmed with my Michelin contact that these winter tires (X-Ice Snow, 265/70R-18) will be released in late 2024 (current ETA is 12/4/24). Those are the winter tires I plan to run on my LC grade. I just need to decide on a set of 18" winter wheels. I'm hoping someone makes a set of...

How to order the stock 18" wheels?

Thanks. Interesting. It's not listed officially but Michelin but it says "Coming soon" in your link. I would put a "star" by that tire with "TBD" on your spreadsheet. But I have a contact at Michelin...I'll email them. I'll update you on what I hear.

How to order the stock 18" wheels?

I checked multiple sources including the Michelin website and the X-Ice SNOW is NOT offered in 265/70R-18. Can you confirm where you are getting your info? I do see the Hankook tire on their website (so I agree with that one).

How to order the stock 18" wheels?

Thanks. I'm not a big Blizzak fan. They work great in ice/snow but aren't great in the wet or dry (and wear fast). And they don't work as well when worn (vs. Nokian and, even more so, Michelin). I have a ton of winter tire experience—including testing winter tires. I plan to dig into more size...

How to order the stock 18" wheels?

Info is from a good parts contact I have at my local Toyota dealership. They ran my VIN (LC Grade with the OE grey 18" wheels). So, info is from Toyota.

How to order the stock 18" wheels?

TireRack only lists three (3) tires in the OE 265/70R-18 size and they are all Load Rating E LT winter tires (and no Blizzak DM-V2). There are some options in the 275/65R-18 tires (including the Blizzak DM-V2) but I don't like going wider for winter. The only 20" tire listed is an LT tire.

How to order the stock 18" wheels?

You need to double check winter tire size availability. The size options for 18" winter tires (especially non-LT winter tires) are very limited in the Land Cruiser 18" size. I've started my research and it's not looking great.

How to order the stock 18" wheels?

Here you go...part number for the OE grey 18" wheels that come on the LC grade (and the part number for the center caps): --18" Grey Wheels: 42611-60M70 (MSRP: $543.48) --Center Cap: 42603-60730 (MSRP: $39.51)

Floor liners with added carpet floor mat option

I agree. My Land Cruiser grade (Premium Package) is arriving soon. My dealer told me that front/rear all weather floor mats are standard (and I'll run those in the winter). So, I ordered a set of front/rear carpet mats (to run in the summer).

Factory/Accessory Cross Bars -Is removal quick/easy & do they come pre-installed?

I won't use them, they add wind noise, and they rob some efficiency/mpgs. I'm happy to sell mine. Send me a DM. Or they are available from Toyota parts (accessory).

Factory/Accessory Cross Bars -Is removal quick/easy & do they come pre-installed?

I have a new 2024 Land Cruiser grade (w/ premium package and stock 18-inch wheels) arriving at the Toyota dealership next week. It comes with factory cross bars ($560 factory/port accessory). I'm told the cross bars will likely be already installed when the vehicle arrives (vs. inside the...

    Cabin (wind) noise

At what speeds does the noise in the cabin become an issue with your FE (with stock roof rack)? Does road surface make a difference? Are your tires stock (Michelin)?

    Quality Control Delays!!

Thanks for the video. I love the grey 18" wheels on the Land Cruiser grade (vs. the black 18" wheels on First Edition). And I still prefer the rectangular headlights (vs. round). PS: I'd remove the hybrid badge and dealer sticker from the back (for a cleaner look). I plan to do that with my...

Question for Owners: Is a Retractable Luggage (Cargo) Cover standard on the 2024 Land Cruiser?

It’s the correct part number. It’s just Toyota/Lexus wording to call it “tonneau”.

I can confirm this is correct (per my dealer). It's a sunroof issue. No ETA for the fix, as of late yesterday (Friday, 5-24-24)

    Hybrid Battery Failure & ICE

When Toyota references "the hybrid system", they are referring to the powertrain as a whole (the turbo 4-cylinder, battery, electric motor, etc.).

    First Impressions/Road Trip

Cold tire pressures are indeed 33 psi/33 psi (front/rear). Adjust the pressures to 33 psi (when the vehicle is cold) and the ride quality will no doubt improve. FYI, the part-load tire pressures on the old (non-USA) Land Cruiser Prado (150 Series) are 29 psi/29 psi (for 17" and 18"...

    Real World mpg

Some of the hybrid parts may take up some of the fuel tank room on the North American-spec Land Cruiser (250 Series) and it might be a GVWR thing too (due to the weight of the hybrid parts). But I would have loved an 86-liter (22.7 U.S. gallon) fuel tank in the USA. The 17.9 U.S gallon (68...

    Toyota Allocation System

It sure puts a lot of the responsibility on the dealers...to get the customer the Toyota spec that they want. And that for sure can be frustrating. Again, I'd love to be able to order a new Toyota. I just understand why Toyota does what they do. The key is working with a good dealer and making...
