Its the wheel and tires. The stock 1958s have much lighter wheels and tires due to size and tread for less rolling resistance when taking off and on highway. Then the vehicle is lighter also, no skid plates, rock rails, sway bar disconnect, and usualy no roof rack. etc.etc. It all adds up.
Does anyone near Oklahoma want to trade their stock wheels and tires for my FE roof rack. Best way to reply would be a PM.
Trade done finished completed
I stayed with the stock size. standard ply but they are thick and heavy. 51 pounds I believe. have preformed great on mountain trails. A little noisy on highway. hence the desire for second set of quiet better mpg pavement tires maybe Defenders
I want to have a second set of tires on wheels. One set that is for pavement and one set for off road. Then I can bolt on my AT4s when going off roading. How ever I am hearing that on Toyota's you cannot use two different sets of TPMS sensors without re-programing them every time I swap out...
Man I wish we could get the diesel land cruiser in the USA My Ram 1500 and Jeep wrangler have all the power necessary and get 30+ MPG on the highway. My 2024 LC has enough power but the range is bad due to mpg and tank size.
I was in a small Town at 8,700 ft alt in the rocky mountains 3 weeks ago. The town of course was full of knowledgeable off road tourists. People were breaking their necks everywhere as I was driving and they were walking down the street. When I would come out of the grocery store or a...
No the dealers can not hardly find it on the computer. You would think the 1958 would have one long rubber piece but maybe not with all of these separate pieces some silicone or weather-strip adhesive might be in order. and bolts with really shallow heads.. I was also thinking about...
Running 70 its about 2000 to 2200 rpm but when I pull it over to manual it says 6th gear and the rpms don't change
How many RPMs are you at when at seventy mph? And then can you manually up shift all the way to 8th gear?
I get a max of 18.2 mpg on the highway. Ive noticed when I move the shifter to Manual shift its always in 6th gear. I try to up shift to 7th or 8th and it wont do it. This is at any highway speed. The manual says you should be able to up shift all the way to 8th. am I missing something...
I have found the engine breaking to not be very strong. I was hoping that it would be since it is charging the battery at that time. I was dropping down a pretty steep highway down grade.
