You are correct. The 2024 GX550 has a twin-turbo 6, but most outlets project the forthcoming hybrid version of the GX550 ("to be announced at a later date") to be the inline 4 used in the US version of the LC250. (The GX550h just announced for China apparently has that in-line 4 LC250 setup.)...

If the LC250 premium package ends up being $9k, that might push me (and others) into a GX. We'll see on the LC250 pricing very soon.

I like the black, particularly on this LC. But, I also find myself wondering whether I could go off the beaten path with a two-tone Trail Dust or Heritage Blue. If the LC were offered in a two-tone Solar Octane, that would be electric.

I'd read somewhere that Meteor Shower has a hint of beige in certain light. Someone posted a TFL video elsewhere in the site of a GX at the Chicago Auto Show, and that doesn't appear to have the warm color tint that Meteor Showrer does. That being said, both look great.

And, yet, the wheels on the 1958 LC still look better than the top-of-the-line Luxury+ GX550!

Well said. I don't use my GX for towing; it's more for getting through snow. So, I think the Land Cruiser might work well for me even if it's lighter than a GX.

I am very curious about this, too. I have a GX460, and it has a heavy feel (though nowhere near the heavy vibe of the LX). I'm hoping the new Land Cruiser is a bit more spry with reduced weight; of course, the added torque alone should make it feel that way.

I seem to recall one of David Chao's recent videos wherein he was relaying that Lexus engineers made a decision to update the GX550 in a way that facilitates suspension upgrades (unlike prior models on which suspension modification wasn't as easy).

I'm interested in the hybrid. But, if the hybrid engine will be the same on the GX550h, Land Cruiser, and the hybrid version of the 4Runner, I will be very curious to see the comparative price points.
