The 1958 would not be equipped with 20” wheels therefore he must be getting a lc/lc and yes it will have mts. Mts is spectacular (a-trac is as well) I use both these functions in snow, which, in springtime, can be similar to sand. Crawl control is awesome for steep, ice covered slopes. Mud...
I’m on the east coast also. I scratched the hell out of my 4 runner while hunting/fishing old logging roads. I’m handing it over to my son for his first vehicle and wanted to clear those scratches. I purchased meguiars scratch X kit with drill attachment foam buffer. I was extremely impressed...
You can probably find some OEM 18” rims someone is looking to sell. I got some from eBay. If you’re new to off roading do some research on narrow vs wide tires in relation to the type of wheelin’ you will be doing. I don’t want to start a debate but I personally like a slightly narrower tire for...
I purchased several new Toyotas in the past couple of decades and I’ve never been able to order one. Perhaps they have recently changed their process?
Yea it is the same guy as “the hybrid that can’t” thread. Who knows if it’s true. If it is I feel sorry for the guy. If not he may be a jeep fanboy or a lc200 owner. Many of the lc200 owners are intimidated by the 250. If true it is one out of how many thousands on the road?
Your pro/con is well thought out. I like the look of the 18” better but if you like the look of the 20” and mostly doing highway miles you should probably go for the 20”. To save 1200 on a 65k vehicle and then have the rim you don’t particularly care for the looks… you’ll see one in town with...
Currently my 4r is scratched to hell from the tree branches down tight trails. I am giving it to my son and want to clean it up. I just tried meguires scratch X on a small portion and it worked great. I always used turtle wax in the past but have done some research and meguires wax gets good...
I usually don’t keep any in the truck but I have a 10mm, 44mag, 38 special, and 22lr. I was once employed by S&W, got 60% discount. 1006 is my favorite.
I just weighed an 18” from a fe and it weighed 31 pounds. On the graph it shows 27.3 with a ?. I don’t have a 20” to weigh and I’m not saying my scale is ISO9000 calibration but even at the top of the graph it states “approximate “. I can see the 20” weighing 40 lbs but I’d like to weigh one...
A “v” engine is much more difficult to turbo than an in-line, thus the twin turbo on the v6 , one for each side. Toyota is putting this I force max in several different vehicles it had better be reliable.
If you have to, I wouldn’t advise more than an inch different in diameter and I would definitely not lock the differential. If you are going to do any serious wheelin you should have plugs and an air compressor.
I thought I read somewhere that the lc can recognize 2 sets of TPMs. Might just have to get used to programming them which shouldn’t be any more difficult than physically swapping tires. I would like an extra set also for the winter just have to be sure they are compatible with the lc. And if...
Thread is a bit older but for me my lc premie status just changed from “build phase “ to “ may be in transit “. Dealer site also changed from “allocated “ to “ may be in transit “. Estimated availability 8/10-8/20.
I’m in the New England region also and my dealer told me the same all lc/lc coming with 20”. It’s not a bad looking rim but I would like the 18” better and having to pay the $1240 for a rim upgrade, meh. I bought a set of take offs from an fe. I’ll use them for winter tires and the 20” in the summer
