This first one is the Retractable cover I received today. IT DOES NOT FIT. It sits in the square holders securely but is not long enough when extended and is too wide when trying to affix it to the curved wall-grooves on each side near the tailgate.

I got the short one that was recommended for $124. It’s not here yet but in measuring and looking at it earlier today I re-ordered the one for $164 which is supposed to be an exact match for the 550 or the LC. I’m going to return the shorter one, but I’ll check it first (it’s it ever gets here)
By the way, I commented in another thread, the predator step install - max - half an hour to install - one person. That’s it.
Once the bolts are in loosely, the tubes just slide on through a slightly wider slotted hole and then slide the tube 1/4 inch and it holds itself in place while you...
198-mile all highway trip today . Tank had 91/93 blend. Large roof rack (the port installed $1440 option), 18"stock tires. Adaptaive Cruise at 78MPH.
21.16 MPG @9.36 gallons... Turned 3,000 on the odometer and I am getting steady 21 and change for all highway and in the mid 19.X for mixed...
I noticed that sound a few times over the past few thousand miles.... After 20 years of VW turbodiesels and 8 year with my jeep grand Cherokee Eco-Diesel, I'm not going to lie, it brought me a bit of comfort.
I have been approached by people walking on 3 different occasions when stoppeed at intersections last month asking me about it. I also had 2 occasions where people stopped my in parking lots in early June - One asking what kind of car this was and the other asking if this was the new LC.
I bought the Kaungka cover - It was supposed to be here today, but now tomorrow. I will post photos tomorrow afternoon (Hopefully I have it before dark)
V those were the fists ones I looked at for my 58. My daughter needs a step up and unfortunately while those may provide some rail protection, Definitely a fall risk for anyone who tries to use it as a step. I ended up with the predator step.
148 miles 7.235 gallons (93octane)
20.456 MPG. DID readout was 20.5. Avg Speed using Adaptive Cruis was about 78MPH.
I’ll do a 225 mile check in Sunday.
If it was anything other than a Toyo, Especially anything Ford, GM or Stellantis then it is a no brainer.. Otherwise, no. But then again, I will probably get rid of this one within a year and get either the new 4Runner or the GX550 Overtrail +
Worth noting, I discovered my Costco glasses case, which is triangular, fits on the dash, right up to the windshield tightly, stays in place over bumps and hard curves and is unobtrusive/out of your line of sight. Costco Optical will even give you a free case if you go in and ask nicely.
Have taken 4 250+ mile trip s to our summer home now and it is tight with wife, 16yo daughter and a medium dog (brittany). It's not that it isn't comfortable, but once my wife tries to unload all her baggage in the front, there is no place to put it. 2 Phones, Laptop, Sunglasses, drink, snacks...
Our daughter is partially disabled, so I ordered the predator steps for my 58. $675. Dealer wanted $250 to install. I ut them on in under half hour. Extremely easy for 1 person to do, as you can put in the bolts loosely and then slid the tube right up onto them and then tighten. Perhaps...
I have an OBDLinkMX+ that i used for the ast 6 years with my Jeep Eco-diesel and am wondering if anyone has used one with the LC or other late model Toyota products? I'd like to disable the seat belt chime and enable the auto window function on the smart Key. TIA.
I drove it with the rear window open for 5 miles with 5-gallon gas can snouts sticking out. no issues. Just hit the ignore button when the warning light came on the DID.
Yeah. I read and re-read the OM several times last month and finally gave up trying to figure it out beyond the 4 charging options originally listed. I figured I would wit until some smarter than me can explain to me like a 5th grader could understand.
Not sure if I understand but in the owner's manual , one has to turn off RCTA, as well as parking support. See bottom of image. I did this with my rack and no issue.
Yes, Color coded. I bought mine from Toyota ~$260 IIRC. Dealer wanted $200 to install ($96/hour labor rate) for just the Moulding install. I said "For Fcks Sake - I can do it in half an hour." (It took 40 minutes total plus 5 minutes to find the masking tape).
The Predator Step Tubes ($675)...
Thieves are targeting owners of expensive vehicles with electronic sniffers outside their house to steal the electric pass key signal from your key and start/steal your car.
For years I simply put my jeep key in a faraday bag (usually just free signal-blocking bag that comes with EZ-Pass...
My 58 had no cover. I did put my wifes Highlander cargo cover in there. It fit, but was very sloppily sitting in the 2 little square cutouts. The cutouts are very shallow. I see them on Amzn for $159(ish) for a 2024 LC/Prado//250. Was thinking about trying one.
I've carried around a NOCO lithium Jump Box for about 5 years in my Jeep. No Issues. I thought I read somewhere that if the 12v Battery was dead, the Hybrid NiMH and electric motor would start the ICE and charge the 12V. I cannot find it now and am wondering if anyone read or thought the...
I've been refilling once tank is down to between 1/2 and 1/4. I haven't gotten far low enough, but dealer told me there was a 2 gallon reserve. When full, the range on the DID is 306-312.
I’ve only driven it back and forth 5-10 yards. Worried if it wasn’t engaging could the gears be out of synch and didn’t want to mess it up further. I’ll try rolling it more. Thank you
I'm having the same issues. 4Low, CDif is locked and lights up amber on the DID. The RDif just blinks red on the DID.
I have tried to engage about a dozen times and keep going back to the OM and re-reading to make sure I am doing everything correctly. I've rolled back and forth, and steered...
