The sleeping platfrom is intended to be used with the seats folded. In the tumbled position you wouldn't be able to have the sleeper above, as there isn't enough headroom. In the tumbled position, you would lose too much length and not be able to sleep comfortably.
$7k represents the absolute most-featured possible system with all the boxes checked. A standard, dual drawer system with no sleeper comes in under $4,000.
the 120 pound limit sticker is a very confusing and misunderstood thing for this new LC250. That only applies to the actual small cover of the cubby itself. That limit does NOT apply to the entire cargo area floor.
In our system, the small cubby nearest the tailgate does get burried as a...
You are exactly correct! That is part of our patented sleeper mechanism that allows the sleeper to be self-supporting. Those are heavy-duty slides that are attached to the main structure of the system, which support the sleeper when deployed. There are additional brackets, plates, etc that...
Not quite anything like that. We are exploring the viability of a lower-height drawer system that would match the height of the 2nd row seats when folded flat, but nothing that is level to the battery hump.
Dare I say this out loud, but sounds like you should check out the Goose Gear plate...
Let us know if you'd like to know more! We have a sleeping platform + drawer system that allows your 2nd row to be kept in place (our sleeper converts between stowed/deployed via a patented mechanisms to secures it in place both stowed and deployed)
Adios rear seats! For our customers that can give-up the 2nd row, the amount of storage gained is pretty remarkable. We offer our sleeping platforms with a 'seat delete' option that is great for stuffing duffels, totes, etc. We don't list the seat-delete on the website because it's a pretty...
Rear seats are unaffected, as the sleeper can be stowed in the cargo area. Our sleeper has a patented deploy/stow mechanism that allows it your 2nd row to be used when the sleeper isn't needed.
Yes! Absolutely. This is perhaps one of the biggest advantages of the ADGU system. Our sleepers are convertible, allowing you to retain 100% utility of the 2nd row seats. The sleeper even has a set of mechanisms to secure it in place when stowed (and deployed as well!) to keep everything 100%...
While it's not quite the same, one of my all-time favorite vehicle modifications is ceramic window tint on the windshield. The highest quality films available today are amazing at heat rejection, block the UV (no cracked dash in 20 years!) and are clear enough that you can't tell it's there...
Catching up on this thread a bit; Some conversation about pricing: Our system is very modular, with customers running many different configurations. We 'start' with the base platform, which includes the anchoring, and the primary, cargo-area tops and we add from there. This allows people to dial...
Thanks for the kind words! Jumping back into this thread: others have already replied but just confirming that weight limit is for just the cubby-cover itself.
We are a vehicle storage, cooking and sleeping company called 'Air Down Gear Up", but we do work closely with DIssent Off Road! They make amazing armor, and absolutely knocked it out of the park with that recent LC250 build featuring our drawer/Sleeper System.
Depending on how long your specific shotguns are, we also have some options within a key-locking drawer!
In the first pic we had a customer that was regularly transporting some long rifles, and we found that creating cutouts in the drawer back allowed the barrells to extend beyond the drawer...
We're a little light on pictures, so i'll have to do my best to just explain this!
The system is secured near the rear hatch with two turnbuckles that can be disconnected in a minute or so, and then attached vehicle-forward with our proprietary 'anchor bar' The anchor bar is solid machined...
Here's a picture of the 2nd row area with the sleeper deployed in the 250. This sleeper functions in the exact same way as the 4Runner. The sleeper deploys on a set of heavy-duty slides and is supported underneath by a very simple frame.
We have a more detailed overview video of the 4Runner...
Ah that makes sense! You could likely still get the shotguns in diagonally, that's not a solid wall in center, so perhaps they could be angled into the structure?
Hello 250 Series Owners!
Air Down Gear Up is pleased to introduce our 250 Series Land Cruiser system. As a brief introduction to anyone who may not know us from other vehicle offerings, we specialize in making premium vehicle storage, sleeping and kitchen systems. Our system utilizes an...
Our system can be purchased without the drawers/sleeper to create just the shelf you are mentioning. We haven't installed that with a 250 yet, but here's a (very old, out of date!) photo of the platform only as installed in a 100 LC
