I don’t really know anything about ceramic coatings, but have read that it is an easy thing to do yourself. Could a person just by the products and apply to a new vehicle?
Anybody with experience in this?
The reality is that aesthetics is a big part of tire upgrades. People may not go to a more aggressive or larger tire for any purpose other than it giving the vehicle a more bad ass look. And if you are spending this kind of money on a new vehicle, you can probably afford to get the nice rims...
Take your increased tire diameter and then take 1/2 of that, and it will give you your increased clearance between the diffs and the ground.
But yeah, aesthetics.
Thank you so much for providing info and pics (more please, BTW).
This confirms my decision to go with 285/70/18 to begin with and then try to add a spacer lift.
I second the picture request please!
The plan that I already laid out with my dealer is to have the 275/70/18s installed at arrival.
My gut told me that 285/70/18s would, but I didn’t want to risk it.
Your impression after going to 275, is that a 285 would fit??
I mean no offense by this - I am genuinely confused by the people that sort of group the LC with smaller unibody vehicles. The Cruiser is never going to satisfy you if you are using smaller crossovers as your comparison point for acceleration or ride. It is not what this vehicle is meant to...
How about some of you new owners showing us some shots of what the LC looks like in the dark with its lights and interior shots at night?
I know it sounds sad - i’m living vicariously - its all I have right now….
😢
There is no way to track delivery on your LC short of having the dealer do it, right?
Sure would be nice if I could check it myself maybe 10 or 15 times a day…. 😁
More pics of the LC with real tires, more updates, more impressions, more everything please! Oh, and tow something for us too, so we have feedback on that! 😁🤣
You lucky people getting your LCs have a responsibility to keep the rest of us entertained! Anybody with the non premium stereo care to provide some feedback as to how the sound system sounds?
I agree, and I have never done a spacer lift on anything, but I have also never bought a brand new SUV. My thinking is that with all brand new components, I can get maybe an inch and a half of space to bridge the gap until the time that I can put on a lift.
So does anybody have information on aftermarket support for the new Land Cruiser yet? Being a Denver person, I called RSG and they have absolutely nothing at this point. I’m curious about eiders and spacer lift to begin with..
I personally think they are being shady and moving people around on the line as they see fit or to do favors for customers. I guess they have that right, but then don’t tell people they can get on a list, if it doesn’t mean anything. Neither Stevinson will tell me what number I am when asked...
Working with Stapp Interstate and I sure hope they find me something quicker than the wishy washy non communicating clowns at either of the Stevinson locations!! Stapp seems like a really good family run place.
