If you want one at MSRP, I would suggest looking at small town dealerships in areas of average affluence. And, locations where off roading is not a likely activity. Think Kansas, Iowa, etc. That has worked for me. Good luck!!

I’m not. My dealership in Wisconsin happened to get two FE’s and I was second in line. Got lucky.

Just got word from my very large Toyota dealership in MN that Toyota has told them that all 5,000 of the First Editions have been made (or in production). So, for now, it appears that only the Land Cruiser and 1958 trims will be available to order/allocate. Take this with a grain of salt.

That is not a North American Land Cruiser in the photos. No hybrid battery. You can see it is missing the elevated cargo floor. But, a very cool sleeping kit. I plan to build one.

My 1999 8 cyl Land Cruiser said 91 as well. But, I heard a couple trusted mechanics say that if the truck didn’t knock with 87, it was just fine. Might risk warranty however. I will report back when my new LC comes in soon.

Brown sugar is something I put on toast.

So, one document that I have says Meteor Shower and the other says Brown Sugar. That color is not listed as an option for the US. Both of my documents are from Toyota. One from the dealer. Anyone else shed light on this?

I’m told that is the name they give Meteor Shower in other Lands.

This is a fair question. I had a Tesla Model Y that had camp mode and it worked wonderfully. I’m not sure the LC battery is large enough to support AC running all night. You might consider a plug-in fan or mini-AC unit that can run off the plug at the rear of the LC. Good luck.

When I entered my VIN, it took me right to my FE LC. Showed the 2024 right away and that document also says Aichi. Thanks BlackPearl.

I drove an 8 cylinder, 5 liter, Toyota Land Cruiser for 15 years (1999) and I never used premium unless I was driving in the mountains. Eighty seven worked just fine and that engine is still running like a top at 250,000 miles. One would hope a 4 banger could handle 87 as well.

That page on the Toyota website is from 2012. The Prado is not the 2024 LC 250 being released in the US. I guess we will all find out as they roll out of the port. Mine should be here in about 2-4 weeks.

Still waiting to hear from Engineer David who runs Automotive Press out of Canada. He stated at least two times in his videos that the chief engineer from Toyota said that Land Cruiser would be built at Tahara. Maybe it is both? But, still quite surprised (and disappointed) to see this first...
