Land Cruiser Oil Change Skid Plate Removal?!!

Yet another question. Do the mirrors automatically power fold-in when you lock the FE? Thanks, sir!! Dr. M.

Land Cruiser Oil Change Skid Plate Removal?!!

One other question (but, don’t feel compelled to respond, you’ve already gone above and beyond). Can you tell is this is a “First Edition” special skid plate, as Toyota indicated? Thanks!!

Land Cruiser Oil Change Skid Plate Removal?!!

I see now that you have a FE. Awfully nice looking skid plate. Titanium??? 😎. Aluminum?😎. Does sound like the skid plate will need to come off for an oil change if I understand you. I can’t recall if Toyota includes some free maintenance as part of a new car purchase?

Land Cruiser Oil Change Skid Plate Removal?!!

Gosh! Thank you for taking the time to do that. That looks like a Land Cruiser trim? Guessing there’s no difference with the first edition trim. So it sounds like an order to drain the oil pan. You would need to pull the skid plate. Is that correct? Thanks a million!!!

Land Cruiser Oil Change Skid Plate Removal?!!

Can anyone who has taken delivery of a new Land Cruiser, First Edition (or otherwise) verify if it appears that the Skid plate(s) need to be removed before the oil pan can be drained? This has been mentioned in other places. Thanks!! Dr. M

    Mine is Meteor Shower.

    Land Cruiser Sunglasses Holder?!!

Well, if they’re not going to provide one, they should take it out of their spec sheet. The only reason I bought a Land Cruiser is for the integrated sunglasses holder. 😎😎😎😎😎😎

    Vehicle production/delivery progress

That’s not been my experience. It shows me the color what port at options there are etc. But my car is already in transit and has left the port.

    Very Nice!!! Thank you.

    Vehicle production/delivery progress

Go to the Toyota.com site and click over at the top right and create an account. Then there is a place to add vehicle specs, as I recall. Good luck with it.

Go to your Toyota member site and type in the Vin that will show you.

    Land Cruiser Sunglasses Holder?!!

That would be more than a “typo” in my view. It would be, “over promise, under deliver.” 😎

Land Cruiser Floor Mats Front and Rear Seats?!

Greetings, Cruisers!! I am wondering if any of you who have taken delivery could tell us what kind of floor mats are in the front and rear seats. I believe they are coming with rubberized floor mats, front and back, and then you can add the rubber cargo mat. Any insight from a delivered LC/FE...

    Land Cruiser Sunglasses Holder?!!

Please see the photo above. Last line states that all 3 trim levels have sunglasses storage. Any thoughts from those of you who have taken delivery? Thanks!!

    Land Cruiser Sunglasses Holder?!!

Toyota literature says it includes one. At least in the FE.

    Land Cruiser Sunglasses Holder?!!

Does anyone know where the sunglasses holder is in the new LC? I have read in several places that there is one. This is a feature I love and would miss it if there isn’t one. Also, it appears as though there is no longer the double sun visor in the LC. I loved that about my 1999 Land...

    FE vs LC

This much I can say. I have never bought a piece of fine art, or a custom guitar because I thought I would make money on them. I only buy art that I love. And, I only buy guitars that I love playing. I do it also, to support the artist who made the painting or built the guitar. It’s the...

    FE vs LC

First editions, whether in coins, lithographs, automobiles, books, etc always have a higher value down the road. The same will be true of the FE LC. Just wait and see.

New Bulletpoint 8 Gang Electronic Switch Panel

This sounds like an add from these guys. I believe the LC comes with extra, unassigned Aux switches, left of the steering wheel………..

    Skid plate

I thought you would prefer a heavy, steel skid plate. Isn’t that the point when you crash into a rock?

    FE vs LC

I have only seen Window Stickers for FE from Tahara. Love to see some FE with Window Stickers from Hino. They are both great factories; world class.

    FE vs LC

I chose the FE because I like the round headlights and the skid plate, mud flaps, and basket on the roof. I also believe the FE will be worth significantly more down the road when I go to sell it. Only 5,000 of them versus an unlimited number of LC and 1958 trim. But, all of these things seem...

    Realistic Waiting Time

The Toyota website will have your dealers inventory. It should show up there with an estimated “available” date. Good luck!

Average Age of a Land Cruiser Buyer in North America

I had $1,000 down on a 2024 Defender 110 a few months ago. Just couldn’t get past the poor reliability track record that continues to plague Land Rover. Glad to be going back to a Land Cruiser. Thanks.

Average Age of a Land Cruiser Buyer in North America

So far, we have the 50-60 year olds leading the pack of new Land Cruiser buyers. They are followed by the 40-50 year olds. Third place goes to the 30-40 year olds. I’m enjoying seeing where the age spreads are. Thanks to all who have chimed in. Dr. M

    Who is paying over MSRP?

I see it a bit differently. These dealerships are supposed to be service organizations. And, they talk about “earning your business” all the time. In my view, they are gouging customers, just like so many other businesses, post-COVID. It is just not right. I will Never do business with the...
