One other question (but, don’t feel compelled to respond, you’ve already gone above and beyond). Can you tell is this is a “First Edition” special skid plate, as Toyota indicated? Thanks!!
I see now that you have a FE. Awfully nice looking skid plate. Titanium??? 😎. Aluminum?😎. Does sound like the skid plate will need to come off for an oil change if I understand you. I can’t recall if Toyota includes some free maintenance as part of a new car purchase?
Gosh! Thank you for taking the time to do that. That looks like a Land Cruiser trim? Guessing there’s no difference with the first edition trim. So it sounds like an order to drain the oil pan. You would need to pull the skid plate. Is that correct? Thanks a million!!!
Can anyone who has taken delivery of a new Land Cruiser, First Edition (or otherwise) verify if it appears that the Skid plate(s) need to be removed before the oil pan can be drained? This has been mentioned in other places. Thanks!! Dr. M
Well, if they’re not going to provide one, they should take it out of their spec sheet. The only reason I bought a Land Cruiser is for the integrated sunglasses holder. 😎😎😎😎😎😎
Go to the Toyota.com site and click over at the top right and create an account. Then there is a place to add vehicle specs, as I recall. Good luck with it.
Greetings, Cruisers!!
I am wondering if any of you who have taken delivery could tell us what kind of floor mats are in the front and rear seats. I believe they are coming with rubberized floor mats, front and back, and then you can add the rubber cargo mat. Any insight from a delivered LC/FE...
Please see the photo above. Last line states that all 3 trim levels have sunglasses storage. Any thoughts from those of you who have taken delivery? Thanks!!
Does anyone know where the sunglasses holder is in the new LC? I have read in several places that there is one. This is a feature I love and would miss it if there isn’t one. Also, it appears as though there is no longer the double sun visor in the LC. I loved that about my 1999 Land...
This much I can say. I have never bought a piece of fine art, or a custom guitar because I thought I would make money on them. I only buy art that I love. And, I only buy guitars that I love playing. I do it also, to support the artist who made the painting or built the guitar. It’s the...
First editions, whether in coins, lithographs, automobiles, books, etc always have a higher value down the road. The same will be true of the FE LC. Just wait and see.
I chose the FE because I like the round headlights and the skid plate, mud flaps, and basket on the roof. I also believe the FE will be worth significantly more down the road when I go to sell it. Only 5,000 of them versus an unlimited number of LC and 1958 trim. But, all of these things seem...
I had $1,000 down on a 2024 Defender 110 a few months ago. Just couldn’t get past the poor reliability track record that continues to plague Land Rover. Glad to be going back to a Land Cruiser. Thanks.
So far, we have the 50-60 year olds leading the pack of new Land Cruiser buyers. They are followed by the 40-50 year olds. Third place goes to the 30-40 year olds. I’m enjoying seeing where the age spreads are. Thanks to all who have chimed in. Dr. M
I see it a bit differently. These dealerships are supposed to be service organizations. And, they talk about “earning your business” all the time. In my view, they are gouging customers, just like so many other businesses, post-COVID. It is just not right. I will Never do business with the...
