I do like the look of those Methods @EOD Guy ! If I can't find someone to swap with, I might go with those or the Method 316's:
I'm getting Meteor Shower and thinking the Titanium MIGHT look good with it. I know a lot of folks like the black rims but I think they just kind of "disappear" when...
All, I'll be (hopefully) getting my LC in July. It's coming with the 20" wheels. I'd prefer the 18's. If anyone is interested in swapping, let me know. I'm in the Nashville area but I'm willing to meet in a Walmart parking lot halfway between our homes if necessary.
All, it just occured to me to ask: How many tire pressure sensors show up on the dash in the new LC? My LX570 shows all 5 tires, including the spare. Does the new LC do the same? I would think so but wanted to verify.
If you are going to go this route, you might as well get the Land Cruiser version for roughly the same price. It probably fits a tad better since the GX550 is not hybrid and the LC version may take that into account in some way.
I'm not sure how wide/long you need but my local Home Depot sells some HEAVY duty rubber mats that are 42"x72". These things are 3/4" thick and sold to use in gyms or stalls (horses, etc.) so they are very durable.
Really glad to hear you got no warning lights. Did you actually drive it around...
Thanks @EOD Guy and @Draper , that is very helpful. I've learned a ton over the 5 years I've owned my 200 series but, as always, there is more to learn and pass on.
I'm guessing this is one reason the Icon wheels are so popular with Toyota/Lexus owners. They have a 95.1MM bore whereas the ones...
A great show came out a few years ago on Apple TV called "Long Way Up". Ewen McGreggor and a buddy rode electric Harley's from the southern tip of South America to Los Angeles. They partnered with Rivian to provide support trucks and install charging stations all along the route. The R1T was not...
This doesn't mention the Bore size. I think I know what is meant by "bore" but most folks seem to not even mention it when talking about what wheels they're getting. I think I saw in a different post that the OEM wheels had a bore of 112. Does that mean an aftermarket would need to have that as...
For those folks that are pining over the vintage LC's, you could install an old-school panel like this:
I love the fact that they have a "Train Horn". ๐
Agreed, you'd need to shift them over or pay for new ones and then have the installer pair them up with your truck. It was a little funny when I got new wheels on my LX570 and new TPMS. While in the driveway, the truck would try to pair with the old wheels stacked in the garage. Then when I...
Yeah, they are doing it in the upcoming 6th gen 4Runner. Wouldn't be surprised if the new Tacoma has them as well.
A switch panel (and lightbar) will be one of the first mods I do after I install my Prinsu rack after I get my tires after I get my wheels after I get my LC. :)
All, I failed to look into this during my test drive a few weeks ago. Are there any Auxilliary switches available in the new LC similar to what they are putting into the 6th Gen 4Runner (see picture).
These are for adding your own devices (light bar, compressor, etc.) without having to add an...
Also, does anyone know what size the drain plug is on the new LC? I'll be looking to replace it with a Fumoto or ValvoMax drain plug. I think historically, they were 12mm - 1.25.
One thing to keep in mind for some folks: I've run across a few dealers that offer a "Lifetime Warranty" on new (and some used) vehicles they sell. Covers engine, transmission, 2WD and 4WD for as long as you own the vehicle. Sounds great but the big caveat is that you must follow Toyota...
