Sorry guys, I missed your lurking. ;) As I mentioned above, I think it's the wrong part. I'll be able to prove it tomorrow hopefully when I take the NEW one out of the box and can compare the 2.
Well, I was not able to get it to work. It's too short. I literally got the other one today but haven't taken it out of the box. I'll try and do that tomorrow and take a picture of them side by side. I think we'll find that 244 part is 6-8" too short. I relatively optimistic that I'll be able to...
All, I thought it would be good to start a thread related to removing interior trim pieces the RIGHT way that we could all add to over time. I know there are good instructions available in the Toyota system but we don’t have a repository where we can gather that info. I haven’t done any YET but...
You need to stop "pushing" these. They are going to be sold out before I can order mine. ;)
I am seriously interested in this option. However, I'm not a huge fan of the switch panel (pictured below) that comes with it. It just doesn't fit the asthetic I'm looking for. Would much rather have...
Day 7 - Forgot that I'd squeezed this in between day 6 and 8. Oil change and swapped drain plug with the Votex magnetic plug to hopefully capture any stray bits of ferromagnetic metals that may have been left behind during the manufacturing process. I'll replace this at 5,000 miles with a Fumoto...
Day 4 - Roof rails and cross bars replaced with a Prinsu. So far, very happy with the rack. No noise to speak of and strong as can be. Install took about 3 hours simply because I was taking my time and being extra careful to not break or scratch anything.

Prinsu Pro Rack
The late evening sun really brings out the gold.
I took my first long (450 miles) road trip and averaged around 80MPH. I averaged around 16.6MPG on my (265/70R18 SL) Falken Wildpeak AT4W's. I'm using Premium fuel and driving in Eco mode at this time.
One thing I noticed that got me thinking was that the speed in my Waze app (79) was slower...
FYI, I have a Meteor Shower with running boards as well as roof rails and they are both black so I don't think there is any color matching you'd need to worry about.
So, unless I'm missing some settings/configurations, the digital rearview mirror will be useless for me 99.9% of the time. They physics are interesting and not something I would have even thought about but my old eyes will not focus on the digital screen in the same that I can focus on a regular...
