This could be useful in the future for sure. I'll be installing a WeBoost cell phone booster at some point and will need to take apart the front part of the console for sure. Also, on my 200 series, the Satellite antennae was TERRIBLE, especially if you had anything on the roof like a rack. So...
I almost just tried to pop the "shoe" off and I'm REALLY glad I waited. I would have been very upset if I'd cracked that piece because I was impatient. The screw would have screwed me. ;)
Thanks again!
Can you describe or provide a picture of what you mean by "plastic hook trim removal tool"? I have a set of trim removal tools but not sure if any of them is what you are describing.
Any suggestions on how to leverage the new expensive tech you mention to power 12V accessories?
I use a portable power station similar to the Bluetti the OP mentions to run my fridge 24 hours a day. The power station has traditionally (in my older vehicle) been plugged into a power source that...
Check out @EOD Guy 's build thread. He's already got the "how should we wire all the accessories to this 12V battery" figured out using the positive 12V terminal under the hood up front.
Regarding the mixing of Lead and Lithium batteries, you may want to check out REDARC'S line of devices. This...
On second thought, I guess you don't necessarily need to have the truck on and CarPlay set up since it's running on an app on the phone. I guess as long as power is driven from an Accessory power source (via relay), you could stand outside the truck with your phone and turn the light bar on or...
Ooohh.....while it is expensive, I do really like the thought of using CarPlay to control stuff. However, that may also pose some cons in that you'd have to have the car on and phone connected in order to turn something on. Hmmmm.....tradeoffs.
Really? You actually got on the phone and TALKED to a REAL person?! Amazing, I didn't know you could still do that. 😂
Did you use a payphone?
Ignore me, I'm just kicking myself for being lazy and not doing the same.
Here are the 2 skid plates side by side so you can see the differences and why it could be easy to confuse them if you were looking at the picture alone.
I checked this again with a different app and was getting similar results to Waze. I'll play around some more with different apps and different speeds to see if the variance is consistent or changes as the speed goes up.
For interior cleaning, I've used Meguires and Turtle Wax brand interior cleaners. One thing to keep in mind is to spray the cleaner on a microfiber cloth outside of the car and then wipe down whatever you are trying to clean. If you spray inside, the mist can get on things you may not want it...
FYI, my theory about many dealers using the same distribution network/system has some more evidence. I ordered something from "Cheapest Factory Parts" and Toyota dealer in Richmond, WV a couple of weeks later. When the parts shipped, I got an automated text message stating the items had shipped...
