    Tire Upgrade ?

I just installed these Friday of last week on my 1958 (265/70 r18 SL). Love them so far. Very smooth and quiet.

    Activate 1958 Factory Subwoofer?

LCLC 10-speaker doesn’t have those. It has 8-channels driven where two speakers are 2-way speakers (Toyota is kind of cheating by calling it a 10-speaker)

    Activate 1958 Factory Subwoofer?

From the audio installer, in the 1958, the speaker in question (tailgate sub) is physically unplugged.

    Activate 1958 Factory Subwoofer?

I am not sure there is an issue. This thread is about Toyota putting an unused/unplugged subwoofer in the liftgate of the 1958.

    Tacoma owners reporting transmission failures

Time will tell if our Japanese built variants suffer the same fate. I’m coming off back to back U.S. built autos with powertrain failures in warranty. Sold both. Losing confidence in quality controls.

    Activate 1958 Factory Subwoofer?

Toyota put what appears to be a disabled subwoofer in the lift gate on the 1958. Anyone try to activate it? I assume the wiring is there too. Likely requires amp.

Paid 3.5k under msrp for my 1958. Did not require much haggling.

Thanks for the seat jacker idea!

I’m ready to pull the trigger on a LC but…..

I am looking to buy and have the same thought. I do feel good about the fact that Toyota is stepping up to own the issue with the tundra 3.5 announcing to replace all the motors. Not ideal, but better than other automakers.

Torn - Discounted 1958 (under MSRP) or LC trim

I have been leaning toward the lowest LC trim mainly for the adjustable seats. 1) they are hard to find in the sub 64K range, and now 2) a local dealer is offering me a 1958 at what they claim in invoice pricing ($3.5K under TSRP). I have not been able to get any dealer to work a deal on the...
