Welcome to the forum! Love your description for the tow hitch cover! How did the replacement tires affect the speedometer/odometer?
Haha thanks I almost certainly heard it referred to that somewhere else and liked it as well. I apologize but I’m not sure. But I am very happy with the tires overall and for not destroying my MPG

Congratulations on the purchase, and welcome to the forum. You have great taste in vehicles. Looking forward to seeing how/if the tires affect overall mileage.
Here’s a pic of mine.

Thanks. It’s look like we are twins! Sweet truck. So, It was only one trip. And I don’t believe it yet. But I lost one mpg. I clocked 22 mpg on a quite ridiculous elevation changing mountain trip. Denver area to aspen and back, the independence pass way. Was at around 23. Eco mode, no cruise control, light pedal play haha etc. I am also seeing my mpg get slightly better over the last 1000 miles like some are saying. At about *1600 currently. Hope you are enjoying yours !

That’s good to hear. I’m currently at 800 miles, averaging 20.3 mpg’s with 70% city 25% highway and 5% idle, under normal driving mode, much better than my ‘19 4Runner, and hoping it will continue to climb as others have said. I am enjoying it so far and will be making a road trip at the end of summer.

I was looking at removing the engine badge as well. Just to be sure, this didn’t have any tabs or pegs that fit in the body, just all adhesive, correct?
Also, with the diaper and assembly removed, (heard that on YT video), what does it look like, can you post pics?

No. Pretty thick adhesive though. Hair blow dryer. Dental floss. Goo gone/goof off (thats safe for paint). You got it !

So behind the rear seat in the floor compartment there is a smaller rear hitch cover piece. I put that one on. Going to put a hitch tube plug on. Sorry for the crap pics

Yeah I was about the same at 800 miles 😂. Almost brought it in. But then I got 22-23 a couple times soon after and it’s still improving. It does great on road trips so far. I will be doing a massive 3-5k one in September. Gotta use it !

Looks awesome! I’m considering the exact same tires for similar all-weather 4-season mountain adventures (Idaho instead of Colorado). Really glad to hear your MPG is still solid.

How’s the road noise?

I expect the AT3 in 275/70/18 size will be fine at full articulation, but have you pushed that limit yet? Looks like it adds a pretty minor 0.6” height and 0.2” width over stock.

Did you also replace the spare?

Thanks man

Thanks! There is probably a little more road noise but I haven’t noticed enough to care. I haven’t done more than some f’ed up cobble because the mountains are still thawing. I think it will be more than ok for over landing. Yeah not much more height or width but compared to the Michelins they are gold! Just doing little upgrades for now. Didn’t replace the spare. Hope yours go well !

Thanks for the information on de-badging. Took me about 2-3 minutes to remove. It was warm, not hot in garage so just used dental floss, without the hair dryer. The remaining tape rubbed off easily and clean with just my finger. Waxed the area and what a difference it makes without that chrome badge. Best upgrade so far.

Yeah easiest, cheapest upgrade along with the tow hitch cover swap 👍
