Has anyone else noticed the removal of the TRD air filter as a port-installed option? I saw a comment about a manufacturing delay/supply issue on the skid plates, causing the newly arrived LCs to be held at the port. My dealer let me know that mine is currently at the port but didn't have much more info.

When I went back to the Toyota page for my FE, the TSRP had dropped by $90. Comparing the add-ons to the spec sheet I first got, the difference was the $90 TRD air filter. So I poked around on some other dealers' FEs nearby, who previously had the air filter as an add-on with same TSRP listed. They ALL had the air filter missing from the list and it got me wondering if this is another manufacturing/supply issue.

Toyota shows 65 LCs (FE, LC, & 1958) within 500 miles of my dealer and not one of them has the air filter on the spec sheet. This isn't an issue for me, just made me wonder if there are perhaps more issues than we're hearing about Toyota being able to get the finished LCs to dealers.

Anyone have insight on this?

Hi Dak: I was just advised myself from Novato Toyota about delays at Long Beach port due to both the skid plate and fog lamp shortages. They won’t release the vehicles until they are installed. I have been tracking the VIN to make sure they aren’t trying to sell it from under me with a higher markup. I have seen markups of up to $30k around the country. Novato Toyota is adding a $5k markup.

Interesting this came up because my spec on my build changed and they removed the air filter. I get to save a whole $90! All other PIOs did not change so there must be an issue!

They are having issues with a lot of items. I think they are out of wheel locks, dash cams, and other items. If you look up the accessories for the Land Cruiser on Toyota‘s website versus what you could add via the builder, there is a big difference. The wheel locks weren’t on my allocation, and I tried to order them yesterday and was told they are backordered.

Yeah, they have once again sort of bungled this. By the time they actually roll out regular production models it’s going to be July, which is when other manufacturers start rolling out 2025’s. Hope Toyota still makes a vehicle better than it markets one.

Did they say the parts are inbound? Or an estimated receiving date…

Do you know the P/N for this kit that fits the LC?

That TRD part number doesn’t fit the stick aribox, it’s a bit too big. I had purchased one from a member and didn’t fit, even though it lists it. It’s probably for the entire TRD intake, (and I’m sure there isn’t one made just yet for the LC). Seller let the dealer know and scheduled it to be returned. (TY)
I’m not sure if this adds to any delays, but, again, part doesn’t fit.

For those who want this but don't currently have it on their build, the OEM PN is #PTR03-35240 and it can be found for ~$50 online.

This does not fit the new Land Cruiser, I just found out after ordering one. It’s a good 5/16” too wide. Oh well, it was worth a try. I tried ordering this from your link and they canceled my order so I ordered one on eBay.

I also bought one just to find out it’s too big
