That would be ideal. Was the connector in the door or under the dash somewhere?I added heated glass to my Taco, it was just a matter of adding two wires to the OEM connector as it was pre-wired from the connector to the switch.
I think, been awhile, it was the connector behind the dvr's side kick panel. I had to run new wires from the glass, through the mirror, door and door frame. That would be ideal. Was the connector in the door or under the dash somewhere?
Thank you for the uploads . I was going to do the rip and pray method.Sadly there’s no prewired connectors in the mirror assembly housing. I’ve checked behind the mirror glass. I still need to take a door panel off and see if there’s wires there at the connector.
Pics of the side mirror with glass removed. Those clips holding the mirror glass are stout. Tricky to remove. Used a 90 degree pick tool to reach behind and release the tabs rather than pry on it.
I would trade the heated steering wheel for this option. That sucker get hot! Will be watching this space, as this is the only "option" I would have liked to have. Odd that there is a heated steering wheel, seats, and the defrost options, yet no heated mirrors. Got to love Toyota thought process at times, or lack thereof. It is all good though, totally enjoy my 1958 model, it was the right one for me.
That's strange - mine gets "warmish" on 20F mornings.I would trade the heated steering wheel for this option. That sucker get hot!
