I've been looking at getting a hard-bottomed backseat extender so my dog has more room to roam and protect my seats and interior from hair, nail scratches, etc. Today's Prime Deal was too good to resist, so I settled on the URPOWER backseat extender, which has a hard bottom and is also convertible if I need to partially fold it up to make room for a passenger.

Been using one of these for my pup for the last year, very happy with it! The only thing I change is stitching up the seatbelt holes so sand/dirt doesn’t get underneath. The holes do have velcro, but that doesn’t hold up against the force of her back paws when her head is out the window.

That's a useful tip; thank you for sharing!

Just FYI for those looking for a custom protective cargo cover, Canvasback sent me this regarding a fit for 2024 LCs:

This is on our list of vehicles to pattern and we will let you know when it's available on the site. I'm unable to provide a time frame at this point - it really depends on the availability of the vehicle and the availability of our product developer. We'll keep you updated!

I'd love to know if anyone has leads on other 2024 LC fits that will save my cargo space from my two adventure dogs! I've got a generic one ordered for now.

I'll revisit this forum the first time my daughter asks to borrow my LC. Her 15 week old puppy is already 31 lbs and probably headed for >100

I work with dogs and transport them all the time. I posted another thread. Rear seats be gone. I removed the rear seats and will be installing a flat platform from goose gear.

Then I will will use a rubber mat similar to What you walk on in a gym and make a one piece waterproof rubber surface from the rear of the front seat all the way back.

After the goose gear rear seat removal flat platform comes to market. I will repost in that thread how it comes out

Victory 4x4 has a pet barrier in the works.

Update for this thread. Been looking for a dog barrier for my LC and hadn’t found a great solution yet. I bought the Victory 4x4 rear MOLLE system based on reviews on the forum. Was planning to add a home made dog barrier (using cargo net or something) between the rear window MOLLE panels. Noticed their “sister company”, jcr offroad, makes a pet barrier for Jeeps and Broncos. I asked if they could custom fab one for me for my LC and they said it was already in the works and coming out soon. As soon as it comes out, I’m getting one and can share pics. Looks like an easy add on install if you have the rear MOLLE kit already in. See below for a link to the rear MOLLE kit and a picture of the pet barrier installed in a Bronco. This is EXACTLY what I have been looking for!

Have you received the rear molle system? I’ve been looking at this setup for a while. I’d love to hear your thoughts. I had a console setup from them in my FJ and was impressed with the quality.

I have not received it yet…it delivers Friday. I bought it based on other people in the forum…see threads below. And their online install instructions and videos showing how to install are very thorough. I like how it is a “non invasive” install without drilling or gluing so it can be easily removed without leaving damage.

I can’t wait to see your pictures. I might order next week.

Take a look at the thread I linked. They posted great pictures of the kit without the pet barrier. No timeline on the pet barrier yet…it is in the works so can’t be ordered yet.

I’m just going to stretch a cargo net across as a temporary solution until the official barrier is out.

Did you install your molle rear kit for your LC? I noticed that they sell the pet divider as a combo for the LC now.

can you measure from the bottom of the self to the floor of your LC please .
I have 2 good size dogs and want to make sure they have head room to sit up in there . The measurements on there site don’t seem to add up when I measured the back of mine .

Here you go…they are still making my dog barrier and should be shipping it this week. Thus, the cargo net barrier for now.

Thanks 👍 I appreciate that .Thats roughly the same numbers I come up with . Problem is One of my dogs is about 33” high when she’s sat up .
Looks like I need to keep looking.
Thanks again

I received the Victory 4x4 dog barrier yesterday and installed it today. Works perfect for my needs. Seats can still fold down and recline…could not do that with my old barrier.

Solid install. Will be great for people who primarily drive with their dogs. Will not be able to comfortably sleep in the LC or haul in full cargo area with it installed as there is only about a foot of clearance below. Of course you can remove it if you don’t need dog hauling. Kind of a pain to uninstall, but not too bad.

See pictures below.
