I believe the LC is built in two different plants in Japan.

Would the Tahara Plant be the preferred plant?

It probably makes very little difference. I'd be curious if there was an example that could be demonstrated between the two.

I agree. The Toyota engineer on YouTube always swears by the Tahara plant. I just like the fact all LCs are built in Japan....period.

The LC and Lexus GX are made at the Tahara plant on the same line with the same workers. Only advantage I know about a LC from the Tahara plant. The Hino is a subsidiary of Toyota. According to the Toyota Engineer on YouTube.

You’re gonna get biased answers for this question.
I’ve had several 4Runners over the years that have treated me well. All made/assembled at Tahara. I may have passed on a lc built elsewhere.
Simply put, Tahara has a reputation for building some of the finest vehicles coming out of Toyota factories. That doesn’t mean that Hino can’t. I personally just don’t have any experience with a vehicle built at hino.

I’d like to think that my LC, built at the Hino plant, will be very bit as good if not better than if it had been built at Tahara. Why? Because I’d also like to think that employees at Hino have a chip on their collective shoulders and want to surpass the Tahara employees in perceived quality excellence.

You go, scrappy underdog Hino employees!

I have heard all of the employees at the Hino plant were recruited from Renault, Chrysler, and Fiat plants. They are excited as they don't hold the same high quality control standards as their last plants and they have beer kegs on the floor to encourage comradery among co-workers......:p:p
