2024 vs 1985 Landcruiser comparison

Parked my 1985 Landcruiser Fj60 next to my new Landcruiser 1958 to get an idea of similarities / differences. I felt a lot of fj60 nostalgia in the new cruiser which is one of the reasons I fell in love with it.

Both cruisers are sitting on 35” tires. The fj60 has roughly 3-4 inches of lift while the 1958 is stock.

Very nice! I will be in similar situation soon. I have an 88 FJ62 and I am getting an FE when it arrives soon hopefully. I agree with the nostalgia part as that is also why I decided to buy it as it looks similar to the FJ60 series.

Looks great - what offset for the method 705's?

I have an FJ55 in Kenya and a 2005 FJ here. That FJ is pure Land Cruiser. I have to say I am suspicious of the 1958 soley because it is a computer now and not a tough Land Cruiser with a high low 4w lever. We don't even have a parking break handle which is now electronic. God help us if we lose the 12v battery and the computers power down, I wonder if they dare to sell these in Australia or the UN Agencies all over Africa and Asia
